We just finished up at the Dallas Market and boy are we exhausted! Ok, maybe not quite exhausted. We all had a lot of fun and found some great buys. Do you know what market is like? No? Let me tell you.
There are three big buildings, two are short and the other is gosh….more than 13 stories tall. I say this because I don’t actually go all the way up to know exactly how many there are. Anyway there are tons and tons of showrooms and booths set up of venders showing all their merchandise. This is where we go as a store and buy what we end up selling in our own shops. The floors have various themes so there is some organization – jewelry, clothing, furniture, food, etc. That is why we don’t visit every single floor. Some of the showrooms are permanent but others are only there for the actual week of the market (several times a year). Suffice it to say it behooves one to wear comfy shoes for all the walking around they will be doing.
Anyway we all got some really great things. We reordered things we’ve loved before and are trying out some new things too. So be sure to check back regularly to see what is changing around The Canopy!
P.S. Gossip Flash!!! We caught a customer at market trying to buy things as a store and bypass us. But the rep caught on that she’s just a customer and not a store and canceled the order. Naughty. Naughty!
